Happy Father's Day to all of the great fathers out there…. and to all of the moms who have been great fathers too.
A special happy Father’s Day to my big cousin E, who is a marvelous daddy to my baby cousin D. I made this special canvas from a freebie Photoshop template download – I added a little of my own twist to it…. To tell their tickle daddy story. So cute!
Photographers around Boston were invited to tell the story of what places make a difference in people's lives.
I was asked to explore one of the following neighborhoods: Jamaica Plain, Ashmont, Chinatown, and Fort Point Channel and think of yourself as a photojournalist. A documentary artist. Where are people most connected? Where are they welcome and home?
The goal of this project is to unveil Boston as a city of buildings, streets, and parks with close emotional ties to the diversity of residents and their families who use them.
"Welcome to a celebration of our built environment—the streets, landscapes, buildings, and neighborhoods that make us distinctive. The Common Boston 09 festival provides an opportunity for all of us to engage with new places and to interact with the people who shape the city. During our tours, discussions, open buildings, and student exhibition, we invite you to take a fresh look at Boston, to understand its history and imagine its future."
see below for our festival overview, visit commonboston.org/cb09 for full schedule details and registration for all of the FREE events (!!),AND ** check out the subway stations too for the Neighborhood Photography Project Installations (web gallery to go live soon at cbphotoproject.org)
